UNLV Lady Rebels Dominate UCF: A 71-52 Victory

The UNLV Lady Rebels delivered a commanding performance today, securing a 71-52 win over UCF. From the opening tip to the final buzzer, the Rebels controlled the game with relentless energy and impressive teamwork.

UNLV set the tone early, opening the first quarter with a dominant 24-10 run that left UCF struggling to keep up. The Lady Rebels showcased sharp ball movement and aggressive defense, forcing turnovers and creating scoring opportunities. Leading the charge was sophomore McKinna Brackens, who put up an outstanding double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Brackens dominated the paint on both ends of the floor, showcasing her strength and versatility.

One of the most memorable moments came in the second half of the game, when Brackens hit a clutch three-pointer, effectively sealing the victory and energizing her teammates and the crowd.

HER Game, HER Spotlight: McKinna Brackens
Sophomore forward McKinna Brackens was the star of the game, recording yet another double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. Brackens was a force to be reckoned with, using her size and skill to dominate the boards and finish strong at the rim. Her ability to control the paint gave the Lady Rebels a significant edge throughout the game.

Brackens highlight moment came late in the second half, when she confidently drained a three-pointer to all but secure the win for UNLV. Her leadership and poise on the court were evident throughout the game.

When asked about her performance, Brackens said, “I just focused on staying aggressive and doing whatever my team needed to win. It’s all about playing together and communicating on the floor.”
